Library Patron Data and Privacy: Cycles and Strategies
February 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
In this interactive webinar, participants will explore the realm of library data privacy through the patron data lifecycle, from deciding what to collect and storing data to deciding who has access to data and deleting data in both physical and electronic formats. We will cover common library practices that put patron privacy at risk at each stage as well as strategies to mitigate risk to patron privacy. Participants will gain a better overall view of how patron data flows through the library and come back to their libraries with practical strategies in protecting the privacy of their patrons’ data.
