Annual Association of Children’s Museums Conference – InterActivity 2019
May 8 - May 11
This conference, is the world’s largest convening of children’s museum professionals. Programming includes content-rich professional development sessions, inspirational keynote speakers, insightful museum study tours, multiple networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall.
It will feature sessions that challenge and inspire us to think boldly about the work we do, to question norms and assumed barriers, to take strategic risks in exhibit and program development, and to think broadly about our role in our communities. It’s an excellent and unique opportunity for library staff to learn from and network with those in the very complementary field of children’s museums that has a strongly similar philosophy, and many lessons that each field can learn from one another.
Check out the conference website for the full schedule of events, session descriptions, and registration info:
Sessions include designing for an immersive experience, using Vroom to turn a space into a brain-building building, guided learning, inclusion, and so many more! Tours of the Children’s Museum of Denver, Denver Art Museum, and Anchor Center for Blind Children are options as well.
