31st Annual Colorado Teen Literature Conference

April 13, 2019

$40 – $75

The 31st Annual Colorado Teen Literature Conference will be held at the University of Colorado – Denver’s Auraria Campus on Saturday, April 13, 2019, with keynote speakers Sandhya Menon and Bill Konigsberg.

We are currently accepting proposals for program sessions at the conference. This is an excellent opportunity to try your hand as a presenter or moderator of a discussion panel.  Traditionally this forum has been a terrific event for networking and learning about best practices for working with our teen populations and keeping current in Teen Literature.

We are looking for workshops that appeal to an audience of both adults (teachers and librarians) and teens, presented by authors, educators or experts in young adult literature.

This year we especially encourage proposals in the following areas: teens as writers, teens as advocates, diversity, inclusivity, equity, and mental health. If you are an educator or work with teens and are doing something fresh and dynamic…we want to hear about it! We would love to include more sessions that serve as professional development opportunities for other professionals that work with teens and YA literature.

To request a proposal form, go to our website at:  http://coteenlitconf.wixsite.com/ctlc  and click on “Call for Presenters” in right menu. Deadline for proposals is November 7, 2018.
